I’m a California-born editor working in the United States and Europe. Most people know me as a writer, though I’ve never applied for a writing position. Everything I’ve been hired to write came through unsolicited recommendations, my website or proven success in a different role.

Using skills and experience from a career in journalism and corporate communications, I had the opportunity in 2007 to begin taking freelance assignments I feel passionate about and create projects that solve problems.

Since then I’ve carved a niche online, contributed commentary to The Guardian, served as a fixer, demystified Greek bureaucracy to enable the dreams of others, consulted on best-selling books and written a travel guide.

I share what I learn on my website and Twitter, and I support worthy causes to honor where I’m from and the people who shaped me.
